16 May Registrations for “THE FINALS” are now open: the international final of the Rental season by TBKART doubles!
The event will take place on the weekend of July 12-14 at the Pista South Milano in Ottobiano and will include both a sprint race and an endurance race.
After the great success achieved at its debut in 2023, the highlight of the TBKART-branded karting season will be repeated this coming July 2024, from the 12th to the 14th. This year, it will be integrated in the racing calendar of IRK Promotion, the newly created department responsible for organizing and promoting a series of outstanding competitions with Rental Kart Line products by TBKART. Two different fleets of karts will take to the track at the Ottobiano circuit, specifically designed for exclusive use in IRK Promotion events and carefully calibrated for this final: the brand new TBKART R-ONE SPORT HP 4-stroke, intended for the “THE FINAL Endurance”, and the already tested TBKART RMAX 2-stroke, which will be used in “THE FINAL Sprint”. A double event that will thus be able to welcome even more participants in a competition open to all drivers who are passionate about racing with Rental karts (therefore not only those who participate in the TBKART International Ranking or other IRK Promotion championships).
As always, the three days scheduled for “THE FINALS” will include a busy series of track sessions that will allow for an unparalleled amount of total driving time, thanks to the well-established Racing-style format. Friday will be completely dedicated to free practice for all drivers and teams registered for the event, while on Saturday morning the curtain will open on “THE FINAL Sprint” with more free practice sessions that will precede qualifying and first qualifying heats. In the afternoon, on the other hand, “THE FINAL Endurance” will take the stage, and the teams will compete in a thrilling 8-Hour event, capable of evoking the true spirit of endurance races with only one kart allocated to each team (as it happens in all IRK Promotion events), which will therefore have to take care of the same vehicle throughout the entire competition. The first final of the event will therefore end at night, while “THE FINAL Sprint” program will continue on Sunday with the last heats and finals. On the Pista South Milano, there will be a pleasant alternation between the R-ONE SPORT HP (a model specifically designed for endurance racing, lighter and improved compared to the traditional R25, the reference product of the TBKART Rental line), and the RMAX (a model that represents the top of the range in the Rental world and stands out for its Racing characteristics, also thanks to the 23 HP Rotax Max 2-stroke engine with which it is equipped). Drivers will also have the opportunity to participate in both sprint and endurance races.
Among an organization studied down to the smallest detail, the sporting and technical regulations that guarantee maximum fairness and the unfailing support of the highly qualified TBKART technical team, another added value of “THE FINALS” that distinguishes this event from all others, lies in the prizes that will be reserved for the winners. As for “THE FINAL Sprint”, in addition to the trophies for the top finishers in the Junior category (reserved for participants from 12 to 16 years of age) and the drivers who will triumph in the various classes within the SK1 category (Senior from 16 to 39 years of age, Master from 40 to 49, Gentleman from 50 and over, and Woman reserved for female drivers), the overall winner of the SK1 will be rewarded with a free participation in a world-class competition. In fact, as happened last year with the German driver Dennis Höller, the participant who crosses the finish line first in the International Final, will have the opportunity to fly to Las Vegas and compete in the iconic SKUSA SuperNationals as an official TBKART driver through the “Arrive and Drive” formula. Equally special is the prize that awaits the winning team of “THE FINAL Endurance”, which will ensure their participation in the prestigious “THE TWENTY FOUR”, a 24-hour endurance race that will take place on the weekend of September 7-8 at the Ottobiano circuit.
TBKART and IRK Promotion are thus renewing their commitment to shorten the distances between the Racing and Rental worlds, making karting more accessible and providing enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy intense track activity as real drivers.
